Dylan and Jade met in August of 2018. Dylan was a student at San Francisco State University, and Jade was just about to move to Paris to work as an Au Pair. On August 31st, Jade and her friends went to a party in San Francisco. Before their night out, they stopped by the dorm room of a friend. As soon as Jade walked into Dylan’s dorm, she called dibs on him.

The next day, Jade found Dylan on Instagram - but he didn’t follow her back, as he was brand new to the area and didn’t recognize her name. A week later, fate intervened. Jade and her friends were hanging out on a sunny Saturday at Dolores Park when, who should walk by? Dylan.

Jade moved to Paris and Dylan stayed in San Francisco, but they never quite lost touch. The moment she moved back, they decided to make their relationship official. Jade may or may not have moved into Dylan’s college house - occupied by 7 boys - in their later college years.

In 2020, they packed up their lives and moved to Santa Cruz, where they’ve built a home together and have planted roots in the community.

On February 8th, 2025, the day after their six-year anniversary (which was spent at their future wedding venue), Dylan proposed at their favorite beach.
